Visit the astounding unique karst formations at the Shilin Stone Forest, stroll along the well-preserved ancient cities of Dali, Lijiang and the Baisha Village and lastly indulge in the breathtaking views from the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and the Tiger Leaping Gorge.

Itinerary: 

Day 1

Arrive at your gateway destination of Beijing to the Beijing International Airport and then catch a connecting flight to Kunming, Yunnan.

Day 2

We will take our first morning to visit a unique natural phenomenon, referred to as Shilin or Stone Forest. The karst geology of this forest creates a dramatic panorama.  

Day 3

This morning we will fly from Kunming to Dali. There we will go straight to the hotel in order to check in. Later we will take a trip to Xizhou, famous for its well-preserved Bai architecture, here you will have the opportunity to visit a Bai house and indulge in Bai culture. 

Day 4

Today we will visit the Three Pagoda Temple in the morning then taking a boat trip on the Erhai Lake meaning ‘ear shaped sea.’ From here we will return to Dali to stroll along the preserved cobbled streets.

Day 5

We will journey to Lijiang, this morning, by private coach. Here we will visit the Black Dragon Pool, famous for its stunning view of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain combined with the pond, bridge and pagodas. Next we will visit yet another well preserved ancient town. Later we will spend the afternoon visiting the Wangu Tower at the peak of the Lion Hill.

Day 6

This morning we will visit the Baisha Village, once the capital of the Naxi Kingdom now famous for its remaining murals. Next we will take a cable car to the fascinating Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.  

Day 7

Today we are off to the mythical Shangri-La by private coach. On the way we will stop by one of the deepest and most staggering gorges in the world, the Tiger Leaping Gorge.

Day 8

This morning we will take a voyage to the largest Tibetan Buddhist Lamasery in the province, the Songzanlin Lamasery. Following this we will go to the Pudacuo National Park where you can witness twenty percent of the country’s plant species in addition to one hundred of the country’s endangered species. 

Day 9

Enjoy the morning of leisure before catching a flight to Kunming and then transferring to Beijing.

  • Complete payment is required 60 days prior to departure.

  • Tour prices are per person and based on double occupancy.

  • Cancellation policy:

-       61 days or more prior to trip departure - Loss of deposit

-       Between 45 - 60 days prior to trip departure - 50% of total tour price will be forfeited

-       Less than 30 days prior to trip departure - no refund
